If you’ve been wanting to pop in to meet us, but not been sure how, or perhaps the idea of a zero waste store is a tad intimidating, we want you to know that we’re just friendly locals who are here to help! No one wants to feel awkward trying something new, and we want you to feel confident to give the zero waste store a go.
So how does it all work?
Here’s a quick rundown of the process for you:
- Cycle or walk to the store in Weston
We love to see our local customers and there’s plenty of space to park your bike out the front of our shop!
- Tare your container
Bring any container you like to the store, but remember to weigh it first and tare (zero) the scales so the weight of your container isn’t added to your refills. You don’t want to buy a container of popcorn only to be charged for the weight of the kilner jar too!
- Scoop away!
Scoop up/pour the products you need from the selection you find in our zero waste store and put them in your containers.
- Weigh & Pay
Head to the counter and we’ll get you all weighed up so you can pay!
- Grab a coffee
Now you’ve got all the zero waste bits you wanted, why not put a spring in your step with a cup of delicious coffee (locally roasted by the guys at Extract) and reward your ethical purchases with a slab of cake?!
At Good & Proper we want you to feel at home, so you can be part of the solution saying no to pollution. Doing a little everyday to help the planet IS going to make a difference and we are passionate about helping you do your bit.
